Syracuse Alumni Warm Up the Holiday Season


On Dec.12, Orange alumni warmed up the holiday season at New York City’s Swift bar by attending the second annual Big Apple Orange holiday party. Over 50 alumni enjoyed a night of reminiscing about the snowy days on the hill while enjoying traditional Irish food, festive drinks, and live music. The first 20 alumni that arrived were greeted with a free drink.

December 3, 2009 - NEW YORK, NY

SU Mentor Mentee Alliance (SUMMA) - the beneficiary of this fundraiser - is a group of alumni who volunteer to mentor students at the Leadership &Public Service High School in Lower Manhattan. The school was founded over a decade a...go as a joint venture of Syracuse University and the NYC Department of Education and continues to form a strong bond between our New York alumni and the city. Stylist Sarah Shirley, who has served as a mentor to several students from the school, is offering this opportunity for SUMMA to raise funds in support of the programs that they organize for these students.

Mary McDonnell, '84, has art on display at local gallery

Mary McDonnell, '84, has her latest work, Touch, on display at James Graham & Sons Gallery located at 32 East 67 Street in New York City.

Her "New Paintings and Drawings" can be seen Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. currently through November 7, 2009.
